Everyone has the right to live their life without fear or discrimination. Through my work engaging with the LGBTQIA+ community and those who have suffered domestic abuse in Blackpool, I know the importance of solidarity and standing together to fight for equality.

 

I've seen first-hand people I care about being targeted and discriminated against for who they are and who they love. It's wrong, and I will always call it out.

When I was DPCC responsible for engagement, Lancashire Police was named the 2nd best force in the country on the Stonewall Top 100, and ranked 12th in the Inclusive UK Employers Awards. I'm proud of my record, and I'll oppose any attempt to turn back the clock on the progress made on equal rights.
