After struggling in an education system that didn't support young people like me with learning disabilities, it was a Labour Government that funded testing so I could finally be diagnosed with dyslexia, receiving the support I needed to flourish that was denied to me under the Tories.

It's proven education is the key to a better future for young people, but under the Tories, Sure Start centres were closed, and child cares costs rocketed. I want every child in our town to achieve their dreams and reach their potential.

 

I will fight for substantial childcare investment, increased funding for those with Special Education Needs and Disabilities and more training for teachers so they can spot the signs for early diagnosis and receive the support they need.
