The greatest challenge of our generation is tackling climate change. Blackpool Council were right to declare a Climate Emergency to ensure urgent action is taken. Whilst the Labour Council is leading across the town in its mission, it requires a relentless national focus.

We must go further and faster as a country, showing global leadership in achieving net-zero carbon emissions before it’s too late.

 

I want Blackpool to become a leader in renewable energy technology, not only proving the country with the technology but guaranteeing local residents have access to the well-paid, quality jobs this thriving new industry has to offer.
