REVEALED: 3% of breast cancer referrals seen on time in Blackpool

New analysis reveals breast cancer waiting times are at their worst since records began and reveals Blackpool Teaching Hospital is among the worst hospital trusts for breast cancer screening - third in the country.

Chris Webb, Labour's candidate for Blackpool North and Cleveleys said:

“Record long waiting times for breast cancer care is just one more piece of heart breaking evidence that you can’t trust Boris Johnson and his Tories with the NHS.

“ Shocking figures published today reveal that inBlackpool Teaching Hospital only 3% of patients with breast cancer symptoms were seen on time.

“A decade of cuts and privatisation to our NHS has left our country’s most precious institutions struggling to treat cancer patients safely.

“Labour created the NHS and will make sure it has the money, doctors and nurses and staff it needs.”
