Calling all teachers in Blackpool South

Are you a teacher in Blackpool South? Would you like to be better equipped to teach your pupils about UK Parliament?

The UK Parliament’s Teacher Training Team is running its next three-day residential Teacher Ambassador Programme from 2-4 February 2026 in Westminster.

This fully funded programme (with travel, accommodation and meals covered) is open to teachers, headteachers and educators at every stage of their career, across all subjects.

Over three days participants will:

• Explore the historic Palace of Westminster

• Take part in Q&A sessions with the Speaker, Lord Speaker, and Members of both Houses

• Hear from people working in key roles across Parliament

• Work with colleagues from across the country to find creative ways of teaching about UK Parliament

Applications close on Sunday 26 October 2025, and I’d love to see teachers from Blackpool South take part in this fantastic opportunity and pupils in our town benefit.
