Christmas wishes from your MP
With Christmas upon us, I want to offer my sincere gratitude to every one of you for the support you’ve shown over the past year. It remains an honour to represent our community in Parliament.
Throughout my time as your MP, I’ve been continually inspired by the compassion and resilience I see across Blackpool. The kindness shown to neighbours, the tireless work of volunteers and the generosity that carries on long after the festive season has passed all speak to the best of who we are. We look out for each other – and that is something that makes me incredibly proud to serve this constituency.
I’m also mindful that Christmas can be a difficult period for many. For some, it brings increased loneliness. For others, the colder months make financial pressures even harder to bear, especially for families striving to give their children a happy Christmas. The inequalities within our society are felt particularly sharply at this time of year. Please be assured that I remain committed to tackling the challenges our community faces and to building a future in which everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

With Parliament now in recess, I’m looking forward to spending more time in Blackpool over the festive break – visiting the charities who work tirelessly to support our most vulnerable residents and attending community events with my family. I’m especially looking forward to Christmas morning with my son, who at one year old is beginning to take in the excitement around him. Though he’s still too young to understand everything, my wife and I hope to teach him that the true meaning of Christmas lies in generosity and kindness. This season is a chance to pause, reconnect and appreciate the people around us.
I wish each and every one of you peace, good health and happiness this Christmas and throughout the year ahead. Thank you once again for your trust and support – I look forward to continuing to serve you in 2026 and beyond.
