Pride in Place – Community Voices Fund launches
The Pride in Place Community Voices Fund is now open.
We're investing £100,000 in local ideas, projects and activities that bring people together while helping us hear from more people across Layton and Grange Park.
Whether you're a resident with a great idea, a sports club, school, charity, faith group or community organisation, we want to hear from you.
This is more than a grant fund. Every project we support will help shape the future of Pride in Place by gathering the views, ideas and experiences of local people. The insight we collect will help inform our £20 million investment plan for the area.
What funding is available?
There are two funding levels available.
Small Community Grants
£250 to £2,500
Ideal for resident-led activities, small community events and local projects.
Community Action Grants
£2,501 to £10,000
For larger projects delivered by community organisations, schools, charities and partnerships.
Who can apply?
Applications are welcome from:
Residents
Community groups
Charities
Community organisations
Schools
Faith organisations
Sports clubs
Voluntary organisations
If your group isn't formally constituted, we can help you find a suitable organisation to support your application.
What can the fund support?
We're looking for projects that benefit people living in Layton and Grange Park. These can be already established and in need of further development or support, or entirely new. Ideas include:
Community events
Youth activities
Arts, culture and heritage projects
Community gardens and growing projects
Environmental improvements
Food and cost of living initiatives
Health and wellbeing activities
Community equipment
Resident-led projects
This list isn't exhaustive. If your idea will benefit the community and help us hear from local people, we'd love to hear about it.
What makes this fund different?
Every successful project will include conversations with local residents.
We're asking applicants to tell us what people value about their neighbourhood, the challenges they face and what they would like to see happen in the future.
The feedback you gather will help shape the Pride in Place Investment Plan and influence how £20 million is invested in Layton and Grange Park over the coming years.
